TRINITY GARDENS PRIMARY SCHOOL

PORTRUSH FOREST

PROJECT OVERVIEW

After an extensive consultative process with designer Evette Sunset and the school community, Dirtwork Landscapes were contracted to build the ‘Portrush Forest’ of Trinity Gardens Primary School. Major earthworks were needed to divide the oval and create mounds, a natural amphitheatre and a dry creek running through the space. Smaller elements included a sandpit with watercourse, a quarry, a ruin and a frog pond. After two years, the plants have grown so well it is hard to believe it was once a cricket oval.
